Ohio State’s Bo Jackson: Not That Bo, But He’s Got a Story
Columbus, OH – Ohio State fans buzzing about freshman running back Bo Jackson should know a few things: his first name is Lamar, he shares a nickname with an NFL and MLB legend, and he has connections to another college football icon.
Lamar Bo Jackson, a four-star recruit from Cleveland’s Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, chose the Buckeyes over powerhouses like Alabama and Georgia. While he’s not related to the two-sport legend Bo Jackson, his nickname is indeed an homage to the Heisman Trophy winner. And while he shares a name with Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, there’s no family connection there either.
