The institute aims to serve the industrial hub of Kalamassery, with proximity to companies like FACT, TCC, BPCL, and Cochin Shipyard Limited.
The institute will span 1.10 lakh sq. ft. and offer courses in areas such as advanced welding with robotics, precision manufacturing, robotics and automation, electric home automation, industrial transportation, water management, modern plumbing, advanced computing, climate and environment management, media and entertainment, and smart manufacturing. Course durations will range from three to six months, with an annual capacity of approximately 1,600 enrollments. The center is expected to have recurring annual costs of ₹10 crore for student accommodation, food, and uniforms. The institute will collaborate with skill development organizations like ASAP and NTTF.
