Fri Nov 07 14:40:00 UTC 2025: Revanth Reddy Blasts Kishan Reddy and KTR, Calling Them Telangana’s “Bad Brothers”

Hyderabad, [Date] – Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on Union Minister Kishan Reddy (BJP) and BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), labeling them as “Bad Brothers” who are hindering the state’s progress. Speaking at a press conference amidst the Jubillee Hills by-poll campaigning, Reddy accused both BJP and BRS of a tacit understanding that is detrimental to Telangana.

Reddy urged voters to compare the development under the Congress regime (2004-2014) with the BRS and BJP rule (2014-2023). He highlighted the Congress party’s role in establishing key infrastructure in Hyderabad, including the international airport, metro rail, IT hubs, and pharmaceutical industry.

The Chief Minister questioned why the BJP-led central government and the BRS state government failed to bring the ITIR (Information Technology Investment Region) project to Hyderabad. He further criticized Kishan Reddy for allegedly failing to secure central funds for Hyderabad during flood crises and remaining silent when a temple was demolished at the state secretariat.

Reddy also slammed KTR and the BRS for wasteful expenditure on projects like the Kaleshwaram irrigation project and the construction of a new secretariat, which he claimed benefited only the former Chief Minister and his family. He alleged that the BRS government focused on phone tapping and built bulletproof bathrooms for KCR, while burdening the state with massive debts.

He accused the previous government of selling off assets like the Outer Ring Road built by the Congress. Reddy stated that the current government is drafting “Telangana Rising 2047,” a vision document for the state’s future. He further alleged that the “Bad Brothers” are obstructing the expansion of the metro rail, the supply of Godavari water, elevated corridors, and the development of a future city.

Reddy mentioned that his government had secured permissions for airports in Warangal and Adilabad and is working on more airport projects and a greenfield highway for a dry port.

He accused KTR of only bringing ganja and drugs to the state, referencing his brother-in-law’s alleged drug use.

Reddy challenged KTR and Kishan Reddy to a debate on city development, emphasizing the need for cooperation from elected representatives to further improve Hyderabad. He questioned Kishan Reddy’s opposition to metro expansion, Godavari water supply, and the Musi River cleaning project, and why KTR succumbed to Kishan Reddy’s actions.

Reddy also accused the BRS of encroaching on 44 of Hyderabad’s 695 lakes and criticized KTR’s animosity towards organizations working on water harvesting. He accused the BRS of expelling competent leaders. He appealed to the voters of Jubillee Hills to vote for Congress.
