Fri Nov 07 03:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Raiders Quarterback O’Connell Ruled Out for Broncos Game, Week 12 Return Possible
LAS VEGAS, NV – Raiders backup quarterback Aidan O’Connell will remain on injured reserve for at least one more game. The team has ruled him out for Thursday’s matchup against the Denver Broncos as he continues to recover from a fractured right wrist sustained during the preseason.
O’Connell has been participating fully in practice since his 21-day practice window opened on October 29th. However, the Raiders are opting for caution, keeping him sidelined for the Week 10 contest.
The team is hopeful that the Week 11 bye will provide O’Connell with the necessary recovery time to be available for the Week 12 Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys on November 17th.
In O’Connell’s absence, Kenny Pickett will continue to serve as the Raiders’ backup quarterback behind starter Geno Smith.
