AI-Powered Safety App Leads to Rescue of Women from Delhi Spa Racket

New Delhi – Six women were rescued from a Paharganj spa operating as a prostitution racket, thanks to an AI-enabled women’s safety application called “Say Help,” Delhi Police announced on Thursday. The app, designed for discreet use in emergencies, allows users to send real-time alerts and audio messages to pre-selected contacts and law enforcement using voice activation.

According to authorities, an alert was triggered through the “Say Help” app on October 30th, concerning suspicious activities at “Galaxy Spa” in the Nabi Karim area. Acting on the alert, police sent a decoy officer to the spa on November 1st, who confirmed that the spa was being used for illegal activities.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Nidhin Valsan stated that a raid was conducted, leading to the arrest of the couple allegedly running the operation. The rescued women hail from Delhi, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

“Say Help” not only connects users with police but also with NGOs working on gender violence and trafficking cases. This is not the first time that artificial intelligence has helped to solve and prevent crimes. The couple has been charged under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act. This rescue highlights the growing role of technology in combating crime and protecting vulnerable populations.
