New Delhi, India – A British family of five, the Hutchinsons, is making waves online after sharing their positive experience on India’s Vande Bharat Express. The family documented their four-hour journey on Instagram, showcasing the food and overall experience.

In the video, the Hutchinsons express surprise and delight at the affordable ticket prices (approximately £11 each) which included a meal. The meal tray featured snacks like caramel popcorn, a patty, mango juice, and a ginger tea sachet. Initially unsure about the chai powder, the family was impressed after mixing it with hot water. “It’s [tea] really nice, it smells delicious too,” the mother says in the video.

The video has garnered over 1.4 million views, with social media users praising the family for highlighting the positive aspects of India. Comments lauded the convenience of the Vande Bharat Express and encouraged them to experience other trains like the Tejas and Rajdhani Express.

The Vande Bharat Express, built in Chennai, is a product of the ‘Make in India’ initiative and equipped with the indigenous ‘Kavach’ anti-collision system.
