Eric Dane Steps Out with Family Amid ALS Battle

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA – “Grey’s Anatomy” alum Eric Dane, 52, was spotted in West Hollywood on Thursday, enjoying a rare family outing with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and their 13-year-old daughter, Georgia. The sighting comes as Dane continues his fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a neurodegenerative disease he publicly revealed in April of this year.

Dane was seen in a wheelchair as the family headed to Sushi Park, a popular celebrity hotspot. He appeared to be in good spirits, dressed casually in a black T-shirt and beige pants. Gayheart, known for her role in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” sported black leather pants and a white tunic. Georgia matched her father’s relaxed vibe in a black T-shirt.

The actor’s ALS diagnosis has impacted the entire family. Gayheart has spoken candidly about the challenges, stating that their daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, are “really suffering.” The family is relying on professional therapists and focusing on navigating the situation with “dignity, grace, and love.”

Dane revealed in October that he missed the highly anticipated “Grey’s Anatomy” reunion at the Emmy Awards due to a hospital stay after a fall. He expressed his disappointment, noting that he was “really upset” about missing the milestone event.

Despite the challenges, Gayheart emphasized the family’s enduring bond. The couple, who initially called off their divorce earlier this year after seven years, are committed to co-parenting their daughters.
