Warehouse Fire Claims Two Lives in Indore
Indore, November 2, 2025 – A devastating fire at a warehouse in the Rau area of Indore claimed the lives of two women workers on Saturday night. The blaze, which erupted while lamps were being lit for Devuthani Ekadashi prayers, quickly engulfed the building where thinner and other flammable chemicals were stored.
Police have identified the victims as Jyoti and Ramkali, both approximately 50 years old. The warehouse owner, Suraj Bhagwani, sustained burn injuries to his hands and is currently hospitalized, though his condition is stable. Two children present at the scene managed to escape unharmed.
According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Alok Sharma, preliminary investigations indicate that the warehouse was being used for mixing and packaging thinner and other chemicals. The fire has been brought under control, and a detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.
