A speeding ambulance reportedly belonging to a private hospital, ran a red light near Double Road and collided with a scooter, killing Ismail, 40, and Sameena Banu, 33, instantly.
According to police reports, the ambulance was allegedly traveling at high speed with its siren on, despite not carrying any patients. After hitting the scooter, the ambulance continued out of control, crashing into three other bikes and dragging one for approximately 50 meters before finally coming to a halt after colliding with a police outpost.
