Sun Nov 02 00:20:00 UTC 2025: Dodgers’ Ohtani Supported by Wife Mamiko as World Series Title Defense Begins
LOS ANGELES – As the Los Angeles Dodgers embark on their World Series title defense, all eyes are on Shohei Ohtani, and the support of his wife, Mamiko, is playing a key role. While Mamiko did not accompany the other Dodgers wives and girlfriends (WAGs) on road trips during the postseason, she was present at home games, cheering on her husband.
Mamiko, who gave birth to the couple’s daughter in April, has been balancing motherhood with supporting Ohtani’s career. At home games, she has been spotted in team apparel, including a custom “17” jersey, as well as fitting in with the WAGs’ pregame photos.
She was also in attendance at Game 4 of the NLCS against the Milwaukee Brewers, where Ohtani delivered an unforgettable performance with three home runs and a dominant pitching display.
The former basketball player, standing tall at 5-foot-11, joined the other WAGs for a pregame photo before the World Series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays. Her presence, supporters suggest, could bring good luck to Ohtani and the Dodgers as they begin their quest for another championship. Mamiko was previously seen with the wives of Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts during the last World Series.
The question now is whether Ohtani can carry over the magic from his Game 4 performance into the World Series, with the support of Mamiko in the stands.
