Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh – November 2, 2025 – The Indian Armed Forces will conduct a large-scale tri-service exercise, codenamed “Poorvi Prachand Prahar,” in the mountainous region of Mechuka, Arunachal Pradesh this month. The exercise aims to integrate warfighting capabilities, enhance technological adaptation, and improve operational synergy between the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
According to a statement released Saturday evening by Defence PRO Lt. Col. Mahendra Rawat, “Poorvi Prachand Prahar” is a forward-looking exercise designed to validate multi-domain integration across land, air, and maritime domains. It reflects the Indian Armed Forces’ evolving readiness for future conflicts.
The exercise will focus on refining interoperability, enhancing situational awareness, and validating command and control structures for joint mission execution. It will feature the coordinated use of special forces, unmanned platforms, precision systems, and networked operations centers operating in high-altitude conditions.
The statement further noted that revised tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) will be tested and validated to reinforce combat agility and adaptability.
“Poorvi Prachand Prahar” builds on previous tri-service exercises, “Bhala Prahar” (2023) and “Poorvi Prahar” (2024), and underscores the Armed Forces’ commitment to maintaining mission readiness and joint operational effectiveness in defending the nation.
