Australia Sets 187 Run Target for India in Crucial 3rd T20I

Hobart, Australia – Australia has set a target of 187 runs for India in the pivotal third T20I of the five-match series. After winning the toss, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav elected to bowl first at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

Australia’s innings was powered by impressive knocks from Tim David, who smashed 74 runs off 38 balls, and Marcus Stoinis, who contributed 64 runs. Arshdeep Singh was the standout bowler for India, claiming three wickets.

Australia didn’t have a good start. Arshdeep Singh removed Travis Head (6) and Josh Inglis (1) early on. Tim David and Mitchell Marsh steadied the innings with a 59-run partnership before Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Marsh. Chakravarthy struck again, removing Mitchell Owen on the very next ball. Stoinis and Short added 64 to the score after David departed.

The first match of the series in Canberra was washed out due to rain, while Australia won the second T20I in Melbourne by 4 wickets. This makes today’s game a must-win for the Indian team to stay alive in the series.

For India, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, and Jitesh Sharma were included in the playing XI, replacing Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, and Sanju Samson. Australia brought in Sean Abbott in place of Josh Hazlewood.
