Following the Chief Minister’s inauguration, local officials, including Assembly Speaker M. Appavu, Collector R. Sukumar, and MLA M. Abdul Wahab, participated in a tree-planting ceremony at Pottal near Kallidaikurichi to commemorate the opening.
The Kallidaikurichi-Ambasamudram Bypass Road is part of State Highways 40, linking Tiruchendur and Shencottai via Palayamkottai, Ambasamduram, Tenkasi, and Courtallam.
