London – The upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s “The Witcher” is already generating buzz, but not all of it is positive. Fans are debating Liam Hemsworth’s portrayal of Geralt of Rivia, taking over from Henry Cavill. A line from the recent trailer, where Geralt rallies his team with “Let’s f**king move,” has sparked controversy, with some viewers finding it out of character.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt-Hissrich addressed the backlash, stating that the line fits the context of the scene and Geralt’s character development. “It’s what our Geralt would say. And in this moment, it suits it perfectly,” she told RadioTimes.com in an exclusive interview. Schmidt-Hissrich highlighted Geralt’s evolving relationship with humanity, explaining that he has become more involved in human affairs, especially when protecting loved ones.

Hemsworth, who admitted initial reluctance about taking on the role, expressed excitement about Geralt’s emotional journey in the new season. “I think he’s in a very real place of change and a place that I don’t think he’s been in often in his life,” he said.

Season 4 sees Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer separated across a war-torn Continent. The new season will be available on Netflix starting October 30th.
