Mega Millions Jackpot Soars to $714 Million After No Winning Ticket

The Mega Millions jackpot has surged to an estimated $714 million after no ticket matched all six numbers in Friday night’s drawing. The winning numbers were 11, 18, 31, 51, and 56, with the gold Mega Ball being 24.

While no one claimed the grand prize, over 482,000 tickets won lower-tier prizes, totaling over $11.7 million in winnings nationwide.

The jackpot has been steadily growing since June 27th, when it was last won at $348 million. This current pot marks the ninth-largest Mega Millions prize in history. The top two jackpots ever awarded were $1.602 billion (2023) and $1.537 billion (2018).

The estimated cash value of the $714 million jackpot is $334.1 million.

Mega Millions tickets cost $5 each and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 290.5 million.
