Lucid to Launch First ‘Mind-Off’ Autonomous EVs by Partnering with NVIDIA

Washington – October 28, 2025 – Lucid Motors announced today a groundbreaking partnership with NVIDIA, aiming to deliver the industry’s first Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities in consumer electric vehicles. The collaboration will integrate NVIDIA’s DRIVE AGX Thor platform into Lucid’s future midsize lineup, allowing for a “mind-off” driving experience where users can completely relinquish control of the vehicle.

“Our vision is clear: to build the best vehicles on the market,” stated Marc Winterhoff, Interim CEO of Lucid. “We’ve already set the benchmark in core EV attributes. Now, we’re taking the next step by combining cutting-edge AI with Lucid’s engineering excellence to deliver the smartest and safest autonomous vehicles on the road.”

The move builds upon Lucid’s existing DreamDrive Pro system and aims to progress from hands-free driving to full Level 4 autonomy. The vehicles will utilize NVIDIA’s multi-sensor suite architecture, including cameras, radar, and lidar, controlled by dual NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor computers.

Beyond autonomous driving, the partnership extends to manufacturing. Lucid plans to leverage NVIDIA’s Industrial AI platform to create smart factories, implementing predictive analytics, intelligent robotics, and digital twins to optimize production processes and reduce costs. This will enable reconfigurable production lines, enhanced quality control, and faster delivery times.

“As vehicles evolve into software-defined supercomputers on wheels, a new opportunity emerges — to reimagine mobility with intelligence at every turn,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA.

The partnership signifies a major step forward in both autonomous vehicle technology and AI-driven manufacturing, positioning Lucid and NVIDIA as leaders in the future of mobility. The company aims to deploy a unified AI factory to build smart factories and transform their enterprise leveraging NVIDIA Omniverse and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software libraries. The first Level 4 autonomous Lucid vehicles are expected to hit the market in the coming years.
