Tue Oct 28 15:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Patna Pirates and Telugu Titans Clash in PKL 12 Eliminator

Delhi, February 28, 2024 – The Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi is set to host a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 Eliminator 3 clash between the Telugu Titans and the Patna Pirates tonight. The Titans, who finished 4th with 11 wins, earned their spot after defeating the Bengaluru Bulls in the Mini Qualifier. However, they face a formidable challenge in the Patna Pirates, currently riding an impressive eight-match winning streak, and fresh off a convincing win against the same Bengaluru Bulls in Eliminator 2.

The spotlight will be on Patna Pirates’ star raider Ayan, who is on the cusp of making PKL history. He needs just six raid points to become only the fifth player to reach 300 raid points in a single season. Ayan has been instrumental in the Pirates’ remarkable turnaround this season, averaging an impressive 14 raid points per game with a 72% raid strike rate.

[Possible inclusion: “His performance across all Dip situations is extremely formidable.”]

The Pirates’ resurgence has been largely attributed to coach Randeep Dalal, whose tactical adjustments have transformed the team from bottom-dwellers to playoff contenders. Dalal’s defensive expertise has notably improved the Pirates’ tackle strike rate, making them a force to be reckoned with.

However, the Telugu Titans boast their own dynamic raiding duo of Vijay Malik and Bharat, who were instrumental in their victory over the Bulls. Both raiders achieved Super 10s in the previous match, showcasing their offensive firepower. The Titans will need their defense to step up, particularly corners Shubham Shinde and Ankit, after a sub-par performance in their last outing.

Head-to-head, the rivalry between the Titans and the Pirates is fiercely contested. Although, the Titans defeated the Pirates earlier this season, the Pirates’ current form, coupled with Ayan’s individual brilliance and Dalal’s tactical masterclass, position them as the favorites heading into tonight’s encounter.

[Possible inclusion: “Titans’ defence had a poor performance in the previous match and won the match despite that, meaning, luckily, the defenders from the bench stepped up to compensate”]

[Another inclusion: “Patna’s defence is peaking at the right time. They have had double-digit tackle points in each of the last five games, with a tackle SR% greater than 50% in four of the games”]

The winner of tonight’s match will advance further in the playoffs, moving one step closer to the PKL 12 title. With a historic milestone within reach for Ayan and a place in the next round on the line, this Eliminator promises to be a nail-biting encounter for kabaddi fans.
