Bruins Face Senators in Ottawa, Khusnutdinov Returns to Lineup

OTTAWA – Fresh off a 3-2 victory against the Colorado Avalanche, the Boston Bruins travel to Ottawa to face the Senators tonight at the Canadian Tire Centre. The B’s are looking to build on their recent success as they continue to refine their play.

The big news for the Bruins is the return of forward Marat Khusnutdinov to the lineup. Khusnutdinov, who last played on October 19th, will slot into the fourth line alongside Mark Kastelic and Sean Kuraly. Coach Marco Sturm highlighted Khusnutdinov’s speed as a crucial asset for the game against the Senators, known for their skating ability.

“He’s a speedy guy, that’s why he’s in the lineup,” Sturm said. “We want to use him on the forecheck, we want to use him anywhere all over the ice.”

Kastelic echoed Sturm’s sentiment, praising Khusnutdinov’s skill and puck-handling abilities. “He’s very skilled, very intelligent player. Hard on pucks, even for his size, I think he holds onto pucks really well,” Kastelic said. “I think he will bring a good element to our line tonight.”

With Khusnutdinov back in the lineup, Johnny Beecher and Jeffrey Viel will be out of the line up.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST. The Bruins are hoping Khusnutdinov’s return will provide a spark as they aim for another victory on their one-game road trip.
