TIRUPATI, October 28, 2025 – Heavy rainfall, fueled by Cyclone Montha, battered the coastal regions of Tirupati district in Andhra Pradesh today, prompting authorities to issue warnings and implement emergency measures. The coastal mandals experienced significantly higher rainfall compared to inland areas, with Gudur recording a staggering 63.6 mm by 6 p.m. Other areas like Chillakur, Kota, Ozili, and Vakadu also saw substantial rainfall.

Collector S. Venkateswar, Special Officer Arun Babu, and SP L.
