Rovman Powell Set to Join Elite Club with 100th T20I Appearance
Chattogram, Bangladesh – West Indies cricketer Rovman Powell is poised to achieve a significant milestone on Monday as he steps onto the field for his 100th T20 International match. This feat places him amongst an elite group of West Indian players, only two others having reached the century mark in this format since the team’s debut in 2006.
For Powell, the achievement is a culmination of childhood dreams and unwavering dedication. Growing up in the small district of Bannister, Jamaica, he envisioned himself representing the West Indies on the international stage.
“I never imagined playing a hundred games whether it being the T20, ODI or in test cricket. To play a hundred games for West Indies is a privilege, and it’s a testament of my hard work over the years,” Powell said.
