Broncos Bolster Defense, Elevate Rookie Turner for Cowboys Clash

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – October 26, 2025 – The Denver Broncos are adding fresh legs to their defense as they prepare to face the Dallas Cowboys in a Week 8 showdown. The team announced today the elevation of rookie inside linebacker Jordan Turner from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game.

Turner, a product of Michigan State, impressed during the preseason, racking up 10 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a tackle for loss, and four quarterback hits. His final collegiate season saw him record an impressive 66 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, and a pass defensed.

The move comes as the Broncos (5-2) look to maintain their defensive dominance against the Cowboys’ (3-3-1) high-powered offense. Defensive Coordinator Vance Joseph expressed his excitement for the challenge, stating, “If you want to be the best, you’ve got to beat the best. Hopefully, we put our best foot forward on Sunday.”

Head Coach Sean Payton emphasized the team’s focus, noting, “I think this is a veteran team that understands how to get on to the next challenge. Certainly, this next team is a big challenge. They understand that.”

In other roster moves, the Broncos have signed tackle Marques Cox and wide receiver Kyrese Rowan to the practice squad. Tackle Mike McGlinchey (foot/ankle) was a full participant in practice and is expected to play.

The Broncos will host the Cowboys on Sunday at 2:25 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
