Sun Oct 26 16:30:00 UTC 2025: Eagles Face Giants with Key Starters Sidelined; Veteran Graham Eyes 2025 Return
Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) are set to clash with the New York Giants (2-5) today at 1 PM, but will do so with several key players ruled out, including offensive starters A.J. Brown and Cam Jurgens. Four players were declared inactive on Friday.
Wide receiver A.J. Brown and center Cam Jurgens have been ruled out. They are joined by four inactives.
However, the Eagles receive a boost with the return of wide receiver Darius Cooper from Injured Reserve. Cooper, who missed the last four games due to a shoulder injury, is expected to contribute after having recovered.
Brett Toth is slated to make his first career start at center.
Rookie Kelee Ringo is expected to start at cornerback in place of Adoree’ Jackson.
The Eagles will also be without the services of defensive end Brandon Graham, who recently came out of retirement. Graham has been placed on the Commissioner Exempt list. He is expected to officially return to the field in 2025 after the Bye Week against the Packers for his 16th season.
In better news for the Eagles defense, linebacker Nakobe Dean will make his return to Lincoln Financial Field after his season-ending injury. Dean will play in Philadelphia’s base defense, while Jihaad Campbell will handle linebacker duties in nickel formations.
Xavier Gipson is set to play his second game of the season, and first against his former team, the Giants, who initially claimed him before waiving him.
The Giants will be missing starters Paulson Adebo (cornerback) and Jevón Holland (safety). The Giants elevated wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey and safety Raheem Layne from the practice squad on Saturday. Humphrey had four catches for 55 yards against the Eagles in Week 6.
Linebacker Brian Burns, who was questionable with a hip injury, is active for the Giants. Kicker Graham Gano returns from Injured Reserve. Wide receiver Darius Slayton will play after missing the last two games, and center John Michael Schmitz returns after missing last week due to a concussion.
Sunday’s game will be broadcast regionally on FOX. The Eagles aim to even the season series against the Giants.
