New Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital to Open in Vijayanagara District
KALABURAGI, INDIA – October 25, 2025 – The Jaya Education Trust announced today the upcoming inauguration of the Janani Yoga and Naturopathy Hospital and Research Centre, a 100-bed facility dedicated to providing affordable, holistic healthcare based on the principles of yoga and naturopathy. The hospital, located in Komaranahalli near Harapanahalli in Vijayanagara district, is scheduled to open on November 3rd, following religious ceremonies on November 2nd.
Speaking at a press conference in Ballari, Trust secretary Mahesh S.N. and Chief Medical Officer Rajesh Padekal highlighted the growing global recognition of yoga and naturopathy for preventive and holistic care. The new center aims to make these treatments accessible to the people in the region, who would otherwise need to travel long distances for similar services.
The hospital, spread across 6.5 acres, will offer a comprehensive range of therapies, including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, magnetotherapy, acupuncture, diet therapy, and mud therapy, alongside yoga-based rehabilitation programs. Accommodation options will range from general wards to private rooms and cottages. The daily charge for accommodation, meals, and basic treatment is set at ₹1,200.
Dr. Padekal emphasized that the center’s services will address lifestyle-related health issues through natural methods. He noted that the facility will contribute to wellness tourism, given its proximity to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hampi. The Trust has been running a degree program in yoga and naturopathy at Harapanahalli for the past three years.
Siddalinga Rajadeshikendra Swami of Ujjaini Mutt and Varasadyojata Swami of Tegginamath are expected to attend the inauguration event. Udayashankar Bhatt, Media and Public Relations Officer of the Janani Group of Institutions, was also present at the press conference.
