NEW DELHI – The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 12 enters a thrilling new phase with its inaugural play-in tournament, set to ignite the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium this Saturday. Four teams – Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, U Mumba, and Patna Pirates – will battle for survival in a high-stakes, win-or-go-home scenario.

The action kicks off with defending champions Haryana Steelers facing off against the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Immediately following, U Mumba will clash with the Patna Pirates.

Haryana Steelers captain Jaideep Dahiya has exuded confidence, stating, “It’s a win or go home match. Our aim is to win the final again and we’ll give it our all to retain it.”

Nitin Rawal, captain of the Jaipur Pink Panthers, acknowledges his team’s bumpy season but remains optimistic. “We’re in the top eight and we’re glad because we still have a chance to fight for the trophy,” he said.

U Mumba’s captain, Sunil Kumar, expressed disappointment at missing a top-four spot, but added “We still have a chance with participation in the play-ins, and we can make it to the playoffs. Our focus will be on taking it one game at a time and win all our matches”.

Patna Pirates’ captain, Ankit Jaglan, highlighted his team’s impressive turnaround. “Every game is still a do-or-die game for us still. So, we want to continue building on this momentum”, he said.
