Houston, TX – Megan Thee Stallion has released her latest single, “Lover Girl,” a track infused with romantic energy and a playful nod to her burgeoning relationship with Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson. The single dropped Friday and features Megan rapping about a fast-tracked connection, accompanied by cover art depicting her as Cupid, complete with a pink wig, violet bra, and a bow and arrow.

The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper hasn’t been shy about showcasing her affection for Thompson. She recently shared photos of the couple with the caption “LOVER GIRL” and has been documenting their relationship on social media in recent weeks.

“Let’s skip the small talk and make some big moves/I know you feeling me, you know I’m feeling you,” Megan raps in the song, further hinting at their connection.

“Lover Girl” is Megan’s second release of 2024, following “Whenever” in April. The new single arrives just ahead of her annual HottieWeen event in Humble, Texas, benefiting her Pete and Thomas Foundation, which supports women, children, senior citizens, and underserved communities.

Last October, Megan surprised fans with a second act to her “Megan” album, featuring collaborations with Fo Milli, Twice, and RM of BTS. The Houston native has also teased plans for an Act III project, stating her desire to collaborate with artists she admires, including Doechii, whom she sees as someone who would require a collaborative in-studio process.
