KOCHI (October 26, 2025) – Fans of the Malayalam superhero film “Lokah Chapter 1,” starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, are growing increasingly impatient as the film’s promised Diwali-season digital release on JioHotstar has yet to materialize. While many anticipated the Dulquer Salmaan-produced blockbuster to begin streaming as early as October 17th, no official date has been announced.
The delay has fueled speculation and debate amongst online communities. A Reddit thread dedicated to the topic is buzzing with theories, ranging from post-production tweaks to strategic marketing decisions.
“It’s still running in theaters. I went to a mall yesterday and they were running Lokah,” one user pointed out, suggesting the theatrical run may be a factor. Others speculate a pan-Indian release strategy with a Halloween-themed trailer could be in the works.
