Thu Oct 23 02:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Thybulle Cleared for Blazers’ Season Opener

Portland, OR – Portland Trail Blazers fans received a boost of positive news as defensive wing Matisse Thybulle has been cleared to play in Wednesday night’s regular-season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The announcement, made by the organization on Tuesday, comes after Thybulle missed all four preseason games due to right knee soreness.

Head coach Chauncey Billups confirmed that Thybulle fully participated in practices on both Monday and Tuesday. Thybulle himself expressed confidence after Tuesday’s session, stating his body “felt good heading into the season.”

“[Now I’m] just trying to catch up with these guys,” Thybulle explained. “We’re playing a really fast pace of basketball this year, so just trying to get used to that. Everyday I get more reps in, it gets easier.”

While Thybulle’s availability is encouraging, the Blazers will still be without several key players. Robert Williams III remains out due to return to competition reconditioning, and rookie Scoot Henderson is sidelined with a left hamstring tear. Additionally, Damian Lillard is out with a left Achilles tear.

The Trail Blazers are set to tip-off against the Timberwolves at the Moda Center on Wednesday at 7 p.m. PDT.
