Jaipur, October 23, 2025 (The Hindu) – Rajasthan is poised to become a leading center for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing with a massive ₹1,200 crore investment by PMI Electro Mobility Solutions in a new state-of-the-art facility at Ghiloth industrial area, Neemrana. The project, situated along the Delhi-Jaipur national highway, promises to boost the renewable energy sector and provide affordable e-buses nationwide.

The agreement, solidified at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in December 2024, will see PMI Electro Mobility Solutions construct a 65.56-acre plant capable of producing 33,000 units annually. The facility will not only assemble electric buses but also manufacture key components, including bus bodies, electric motors, batteries, and wire harnesses.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, after meeting with a delegation from PMI Electro Mobility Solutions, expressed enthusiasm for the project’s potential. He stated that the plant would create significant direct and indirect employment opportunities for Rajasthan’s youth, who would also receive valuable training in the rapidly growing field of electromobility.

The Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has already allocated land for the project. According to officials, the new facility is expected to drive green industrialization and promote sustainable mobility within the state. Benefits include bolstering the local economy, reducing environmental pollution, and strengthening sustainable urban development.

Managing Director of PMI Electro Mobility Solutions, Satish Kumar Jain, along with CEO Anchal Jain, Executive Director Gajendra Yadav, and plant head Harish Yadav, were present during the meeting with the Chief Minister. The project is a significant step towards solidifying Rajasthan’s position as a key player in India’s burgeoning electric vehicle market.
