CBS Greenlights “Cupertino,” New Legal Drama from “The Good Wife” Creators, Starring Mike Colter

LOS ANGELES, CA – A decade after the critically acclaimed series “The Good Wife” concluded, CBS has announced it will be bringing a new legal drama, “Cupertino,” to audiences in the 2026-27 season. The series comes from the minds of Robert and Michelle King, the creators of “The Good Wife” and “Evil,” and stars Mike Colter, known for his roles in “Luke Cage” and the Kings’ previous series, “Evil.”

“Cupertino” is described as a “David vs. Goliath” legal drama set in the cutthroat world of Silicon Valley. Colter plays a lawyer who finds himself cheated out of stock options by his former tech start-up employer. Refusing to be silenced, he teams up with another recently fired attorney to champion the rights of those exploited by the tech elite. Together, they navigate the high-stakes legal battles against the powerful “Goliaths” who dominate Silicon Valley.

The series was initially put into development in Summer 2024. After positive reception to the pilot script, CBS commissioned a full writers’ room in May to produce 12 more scripts.

Robert and Michelle King will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers under their King Size Productions banner. Robert King is also set to direct the premiere episode. Liz Glotzer will also serve as an executive producer.

“Cupertino” joins “Einstein,” starring Matthew Gray Gubler, as the second drama series already greenlit for CBS’s 2026-27 season.

“Cupertino” is produced by CBS Studios.
