Wed Oct 22 18:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Real Madrid Faces Juventus in Champions League Clash Amidst Contrasting Fortunes
Madrid, Spain – Real Madrid is set to host Juventus at the Santiago Bernabeu tonight at 21:00 CET in a highly anticipated Champions League Group Stage match. The clash marks the third round of the competition and pits Xabi Alonso’s in-form Real Madrid against a struggling Juventus side led by Igor Tudor.
Real Madrid enters the match riding high on a wave of success. They currently top La Liga with a two-point lead over Barcelona and have started their Champions League campaign strong with victories over Marseille (2-1) and Kairat (5-0).
Juventus, however, is experiencing a downturn in form. After dramatic draws against Borussia Dortmund (4-4) and Villarreal (2-2) in their previous Champions League fixtures, the Italian giants haven’t secured a win since September 13th. This winless streak has placed increasing pressure on coach Tudor, especially after a recent 2-0 defeat to Como.
Despite Juventus’ struggles, Alonso is wary of the threat they pose. “Juventus were in good form a few weeks ago. Despite their recent results, we are prepared for a tough match. Juventus is still a dangerous team, even if they are going through a difficult period. Kenan Yıldız is in excellent form,” Alonso commented.
Tudor acknowledged the challenge of playing in Madrid. “I expect a big reaction from my team. My motivation comes simply from being here, at the Bernabeu. I am confident that we will play a good match. Every team has its strengths and weaknesses. Madrid is a team that can score at any moment. I want to see a good sporting performance and a team that can impact the Madrid players,” he stated.
Tonight’s Champions League schedule also features other intriguing matchups, including Athletic Bilbao vs. Qarabag and Galatasaray vs. Bodo/Glimt earlier in the evening. Alongside the Madrid derby, later fixtures include Atalanta vs. Slavia Prague, Bayern vs. Brugge, Chelsea vs. Ajax, Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Liverpool, Monaco vs. Tottenham, and Sporting vs. Marseille.
