Puducherry to Host International Buyer-Seller Meet to Boost MSME Exports

PUDUCHERRY, October 22, 2025 – Puducherry is set to become a hub for international trade as it prepares to host a Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) on October 30th and 31st. The event, a joint initiative by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and the Puducherry Industrial Promotion, Development and Investment Corporation Limited (PIPDIC), aims to connect local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with global buyers, boosting exports and fostering economic growth.

Supported by the World Bank’s RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) Programme, the RBSM is expected to draw over 25 overseas buyers representing 16 countries, including Australia, Canada, Singapore, and the UAE. These buyers will engage in one-on-one business meetings with more than 300 MSME exporters from Puducherry, providing them direct access to international markets.

The participating MSMEs represent a diverse range of sectors, including agriculture, food processing, textiles, engineering, pharmaceuticals, and more. The event will provide a structured interaction process, with buyers receiving advance product profiles of participating MSMEs to facilitate targeted discussions and collaborations.

“This RBSM is a significant opportunity for MSMEs in Puducherry to expand their reach and contribute to India’s global trade,” said a spokesperson for FIEO. “We are committed to building the export capacity of these businesses and connecting them with the right international partners.”

In addition to the buyer-seller interactions, the event will feature technical sessions on various initiatives under the Centre’s ‘Make in India’ program, providing valuable insights and resources for participating businesses. MSMEs interested in participating can contact Yaser at 9789008201 or email yasarshariff@fieo.org for more information. The event is poised to significantly boost the local economy and solidify Puducherry’s position as a key player in international trade.
