Man Found Dead in Alleghany Wellness Center Pool, Investigation Underway
SPARTA, NC – Sparta Police are investigating the death of a 65-year-old man who was discovered in the swimming pool at the Alleghany Wellness Center on Monday evening.
Police were called to the center around 6 p.m. where they found Jeffery Reece deceased. The incident is being treated as a possible drowning.
“Our officers are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Reece’s death,” a Sparta Police Department spokesperson stated.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet released further details.
