Lori Loughlin Reportedly Splits From Mossimo Giannulli After Discovery of “Incriminating” Texts
[City, State] – [Date] – Actress Lori Loughlin has reportedly called it quits with her husband of 28 years, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, after allegedly discovering “incriminating” text messages on his phone. According to a source close to the “Full House” star, the discovery was the “tipping point” in the relationship, which has been strained since the couple’s involvement in the Varsity Blues college admissions scandal.
Loughlin and Giannulli both served prison time after admitting to paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California under false pretenses. The source claims that Loughlin had hoped Giannulli would change after his release, but his behavior allegedly worsened.
“Mossimo had used Lori for years,” the source alleged to Page Six. “She was hoping maybe he would change when he got out of prison, but he got worse.”
The actress, 61, is reportedly seeking to “get her life back” and wants “nothing to do with” Giannulli, 62. Giannulli was recently spotted with stylist Hannah Harrison, but Harrison insists their meeting was strictly business and merely about shopping.
Sources say the couple’s daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli, are firmly supporting their mother. Loughlin is also reportedly receiving support from friends, including actor James Tupper.
Loughlin is currently residing in the family’s Hidden Hills, California, home, which has been on the market since February. Giannulli has reportedly been dividing his time between Orange County and the family’s Idaho residence.
In a recent magazine interview, Loughlin stated, “Every day, we’re met with different obstacles. But, for me, it’s like that song says, ‘I get knocked down, but I get up again.'”
