Woman Found Dead at Beverage Outlet in Kannur
Kannur, October 21, 2025 (The Hindu) – A 48-year-old woman, identified as Shelvi from Thottada Samajwadi Colony, was discovered dead on the veranda of a beverage outlet in Kannur on Tuesday morning. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
Eyewitnesses reported finding Shelvi unconscious and subsequently alerted the authorities. A police team, led by Kannur Town Sub-Inspector V.V. Deepti, arrived at the scene and initiated preliminary inquiries.
Law enforcement is currently reviewing CCTV footage from neighboring businesses in an effort to trace Shelvi’s movements leading up to her death. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Shelvi is survived by her children, Sanoj and Sajida. The investigation is ongoing.
