Andhra Pradesh Government Doubles Down on Tech for Citizen Services

VIJAYAWADA, October 21, 2025 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to prioritize user-friendliness and accessibility in all citizen services, leveraging technology to ensure government welfare schemes effectively reach the public. The announcement came during a review of various schemes and services held at the RTGS Centre in the State Secretariat on Tuesday.

Naidu emphasized the importance of technology in streamlining government operations and delivering services seamlessly. He urged officials to analyze citizen feedback through data analytics and conduct thorough technology audits of all services provided.

“We must harness the power of technology to improve the lives of our citizens,” Naidu stated. He plans to personally monitor file clearances by ministers and officials to address bottlenecks and expedite processes. Updates to websites and apps related to sand supply and other essential services were also ordered to enhance citizen convenience.

A comprehensive data lake is being established to collect and analyze information from various departments, including medical and health and groundwater. This data-driven approach aims to optimize resource allocation and reduce government costs.

The Chief Minister highlighted the significant use of drones in the state, clocking 2.10 lakh hours. He directed officials to analyze cost savings for farmers resulting from drone usage and explore the use of drones for monitoring pesticide application. He also inquired about the effectiveness of CCTV networks in crime reduction and investigations.

The initiative underscores the Andhra Pradesh government’s commitment to using technology to improve governance, enhance citizen services, and drive economic efficiency.
