Mr. Purohit detailed several completed projects, including a link conveyor from coal jetty-I to the port coal stack yard, NCB-3 dredging and expansion of the turning circle, North Cargo Berth – III, and the conversion of Berth 9 into a container terminal.

He also highlighted ongoing projects such as the construction of Berth – 10 (multi cargo), a four-lane road to the Tuticorin Thermal Power Station, the establishment of a Maritime Heritage Museum, a direct port entry facility, widening of the port’s entrance channel, and the mechanization of NCB 3.
