**Modi to Unveil ₹13,430 Crore Development Package for Kurnool Tomorrow**

**KURNOOL, October 15, 2025** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation for a massive development package worth ₹13,430 crore in Kurnool district tomorrow, October 16th. The investment promises to boost infrastructure and generate employment in the Rayalaseema region.

The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes a visit to the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Srisailam for prayers, followed by a stop at the Sri Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra.

The centerpiece of the project is the investment in industrial infrastructure, with the laying of the foundation stone for the Orvakal and Kopparthy Industrial Areas. These hubs, developed in collaboration with the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), are expected to attract ₹21,000 crore in investments and generate approximately one lakh jobs.

The package also includes significant upgrades to the transportation infrastructure. Mr. Modi will lay the stone for a six-lane greenfield highway from Sabbavaram to Sheelanagar, aimed at alleviating congestion in Visakhapatnam. Several other road projects, totaling ₹1,140 crore, will be inaugurated, improving connectivity throughout the region.

Railway infrastructure will also see a boost, with the foundation laying for the Kottavalasa-Vizianagaram fourth railway line and the rail flyover between Pendurti and Simhachalam North.
