Mon Oct 13 10:28:49 UTC 2025: **Bumrah Frustrated as Technology Denies Him Wicket Despite Strong Appeal**

**New Delhi, India** – Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah expressed his frustration with the Decision Review System (DRS) after a close call went against him on Day 4 of the second Test against the West Indies.

The incident occurred in the first session when Bumrah struck West Indies batter John Campbell on the pads directly in front of the stumps. Despite a strong appeal and the Indian team’s subsequent review, the third umpire was unable to find conclusive evidence to overturn the on-field umpire’s original “not out” decision.

Replays showed the ball appearing to be on track to hit the stumps, but the umpire couldn’t determine if the ball had touched the inside edge of the bat before hitting the pad.

Audio from the stump mic captured Bumrah’s reaction as he walked back to his mark: “You know it’s out, but the technology can’t prove it.”

Campbell, benefitting from the reprieve, went on to score his maiden Test century before eventually being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. India enforced the follow-on and the West Indies showed improvement in the second innings.
