**Kathmandu, Nepal** – The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has officially declared the end of the monsoon season in Nepal, announcing its complete withdrawal from the country. After months of heavy rainfall and widespread flooding, Nepal can expect predominantly fair weather in the coming days.

According to the DHM’s latest forecast, partly cloudy conditions are anticipated in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces today. The rest of the nation will experience mainly fair weather. Light rainfall is possible in isolated areas within the hilly regions of Koshi Province.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in Koshi’s hilly areas, while other regions will enjoy mostly fair conditions.

Kathmandu Valley residents can anticipate partly cloudy skies this afternoon with temperatures reaching a high of 26-28°C. Nighttime temperatures are expected to cool down to 14-16°C. The DHM has stated that the probability of rain in the valley is currently low.

“There are no significant weather systems influencing the country at this time,” the DHM confirmed in its statement.

The end of the monsoon brings relief after a season that often brings hardship and destruction to communities across Nepal. The DHM will continue to monitor weather patterns and provide updates as needed.
