**Jaiswal’s Frustration Boils Over After Run-Out in Second Test**

**Delhi, India** – Day 2 of the second Test between India and the West Indies in Delhi saw high drama unfold as young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal reacted angrily to being run out following a mix-up with captain Shubman Gill. Jaiswal, who had impressed with a brilliant 173 on Day 1, could only add two more runs before the incident occurred on the eighth ball of the day.

A miscommunication after Jaiswal drove a delivery to mid-off led to the run-out. Jaiswal, believing there was a single, charged down the pitch, but Gill remained rooted to his crease. Despite Gill’s hesitation, Jaiswal was too far gone to return, resulting in him being dismissed.

Visibly furious, Jaiswal initially refused to leave the field, expressing his displeasure at Gill’s decision. Replays later showed the decision was very close, possibly warranting a referral to the third umpire, but the on-field umpire had already raised his finger.

The dismissal was a bitter blow for Jaiswal, who looked set for a double century, with some predicting a possible triple. However, his superb knock on Day 1 saw him equalling Graeme Smith’s record for most centuries as an opening batter before turning 24. Jaiswal also matched Virat Kohli’s unique feat of scoring more than 150 runs twice on Day 1 of a Test match in India.

Despite the disappointing end, Jaiswal’s innings, which included 22 boundaries but no sixes, has been widely praised and marks him as a player to watch for the future.
