**Hyderabad, October 11, 2025** – Shoppers visiting Sarath City Capital Mall in Kondapur, Hyderabad, are finally breathing a sigh of relief after the opening of a new underpass designed to alleviate notorious parking congestion. The 22-foot-wide ramp connects the B1 level of the mall’s parking directly to the busy Gachibowli–Miyapur road, significantly reducing exit times that previously plagued visitors.
For months, social media has been awash with complaints from frustrated shoppers detailing hours-long waits to exit the mall’s parking lot. Users described chaotic scenes, particularly during weekends, with gridlock extending beyond the mall itself, impacting local residents and commuters.
“We spent more than an hour today driving out of the mall parking, that too with little kids,” one Reddit user lamented, a sentiment echoed by many others.
The Cyberabad traffic police and mall authorities collaborated to address the issue, developing a plan for the new exit ramp. The ramp, which opened around Dasara (October 2, 2025), also includes a separate bike exit and seamlessly merges onto the main road.
Madhapur DCP (Traffic) T. Sai Manohar stated, “The sketch and plan of the new exit ramp was shared with the mall authorities by the Cyberabad police, which was taken up and duly implemented.” He further explained that the mall’s parking capacity of 3,600 vehicles often sees over 10,000 vehicles on weekends. “The new exit ramp has reduced pressure on the earlier single route, cutting waiting times by at least 15-20 minutes per vehicle and offering alternate exits for smoother flow.”
Retailers in the mall have already noticed a significant improvement. One store owner commented, “Earlier, during peak hours, it took 40 to 45 minutes just to exit the parking lot. Even now, weekends are busy, but the new ramp has made things far better. What used to take 45 minutes now takes around 20.”
Regular shoppers like Nikhil confirm the positive impact. “We got out of the parking in under 20 minutes on Tuesday,” he said. “A win, considering we waited over an hour just two weeks ago.”
The new underpass marks a significant step towards improving the visitor experience at Sarath City Capital Mall and easing traffic congestion in the surrounding area.
