**Vince Gilligan’s New AppleTV+ Series, “Pluribus,” Unveils First Trailer, Promises Grounded Genre Drama Starring Rhea Seehorn**

**ALBUQUERQUE, NM** – AppleTV+ has released the first full teaser trailer for “Pluribus,” the highly anticipated new series from “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan, starring Rhea Seehorn (“Better Call Saul”). Premiering November 7th, the nine-episode first season promises a blend of genre elements and character-driven drama, set in a world grappling with unnerving bliss.

The series, greenlit in 2022, follows Carol Sturka (Seehorn), a cynical historical romance novelist who finds herself strangely unaffected when a viral phenomenon causes widespread contentment. As everyone around her becomes unnervingly happy and pleasant, Carol embarks on a journey to uncover why she is different and what the implications of her unique state might be, aided by Zosia (Karolina Wydra), a spokesperson for this new reality.

While Gilligan has stated that “Pluribus” will not feature crime, meth, or any connections to the “Breaking Bad” universe, the initial episodes hint at deeper themes. The show explores the idea of confronting one’s flaws and asks whether those flaws ultimately define us. It also tackles the relatable feeling of observing the world’s chaos and wondering why others seem indifferent.

Early reviews suggest that the “WTF” premise is secondary to Seehorn’s compelling performance and the richly developed world Gilligan and his team have created. The show also explores the nature of addiction and comfort.

“Pluribus” marks a reunion for Gilligan and Seehorn and represents a departure in tone for the creator, promising a fresh and thought-provoking exploration of human nature amidst extraordinary circumstances.

The first two episodes of “Pluribus” premiere on AppleTV+ on November 7th.
