**Chennai Auto Tech Conference Calls for Regulation and Innovation in Automotive Sector**
**Chennai, October 9, 2025** – The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) International Auto Tech conference 2025, held in Chennai on Thursday, emphasized the need for increased regulation in the automotive after-sales market to enhance product quality. T. Prabhushankar, Managing Director of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), highlighted this point during the inauguration, emphasizing the MTC’s role in serving customers.
Mr. Prabhushankar also lauded Tamil Nadu’s strong manufacturing base and its continuous evolution. He noted the state’s entrepreneur-friendly environment and active support for industrial growth and innovation, pointing out that Tamil Nadu boasts the largest number of factories and MSMEs in the country, built upon a foundation of trust between government, industries, and the people.
P. Ravichandran, Deputy Chairman of CII Southern Region and President of Danfoss Industries, urged the automotive industry to prioritize strengthening manufacturing competitiveness, deploying artificial intelligence (AI) and automation within MSMEs, and fostering a culture of innovation and circular economy. He stressed the importance of speed in competitiveness and creating entrepreneurial ecosystems for the country’s mobility future.
The conference theme, ‘Accelerating Innovation: Smart, Sustainable, and software-driven mobility’, was further addressed by N.K. Ranganath and Rakesh Kher, Chairman of the CII (Automotive Aftermarket Conference). The conference aims to promote the development and adoption of innovative technologies in the automotive industry.
