**Dorofeyev a Game-Time Decision for Golden Knights’ Season Opener**

LAS VEGAS – Vegas Golden Knights forward Pavel Dorofeyev’s status for Wednesday’s season opener against the Los Angeles Kings remains uncertain. Head Coach Bruce Cassidy stated on Tuesday that he anticipates Dorofeyev will play, but the forward is still considered a game-time decision due to an undisclosed injury.

Dorofeyev has been sidelined for most of the preseason after suffering the injury during a September 23rd game against the Kings. He played only 4:07 in that contest.

The potential absence of Dorofeyev leaves a question mark on the Golden Knights’ third line, where he was expected to play alongside Tomas Hertl and Brandon Saad. Several players auditioned for the role during the preseason, but Braeden Bowman and Raphael Lavoie did not make the final roster. Alexander Holtz, who played on a professional tryout, is currently without a contract.

Dorofeyev is coming off a strong season, leading the team with 35 goals and adding 17 assists for 52 points in 82 games. His defensive play was also a strength.

The Golden Knights will face the Los Angeles Kings Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. PST.
