**’Jhund’ Actor Priyanshu ‘Babu’ Chhetri Murdered in Nagpur After Drunken Brawl**
**Nagpur, India – October 9, 2025** – Priyanshu alias Babu Ravi Singh Chhetri (21), best known for his role as ‘Babu Chhetri’ in the critically acclaimed Hindi film *Jhund*, was allegedly murdered by his friend, Dhruv Lal Bahadur Sahu (20), in Nagpur early Wednesday morning. Police have arrested Sahu and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
According to police reports, Sahu and Chhetri, who were known to be close friends and drinking companions, spent Tuesday night consuming liquor at an abandoned house in the Jaripatka area. Preliminary investigations suggest that an argument erupted under the influence of alcohol, during which Chhetri allegedly threatened Sahu. Fearing for his safety, Sahu allegedly tied up Chhetri with wires and attacked him with a sharp weapon.
Locals discovered Chhetri, severely injured and partially unclothed, bound with plastic wires near the abandoned house around 3:00 AM Wednesday. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“We have registered a case of murder and arrested Sahu,” a police official stated. “Both Chhetri and Sahu have prior criminal records, including cases of theft and assault.”
*Jhund*, released in 2022, garnered widespread acclaim for its portrayal of Vijay Barse, the founder of Slum Soccer, and his efforts to transform the lives of slum children through football.
