**Modi to Meet UK’s Starmer in Mumbai, Inaugurate Key Infrastructure Projects**

Mumbai, October 8, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Mumbai on Thursday, October 9th, as part of a two-day visit to Maharashtra. The meeting will serve to strengthen the India-U.K. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, building upon the “Vision 2035” roadmap for collaboration in trade, technology, defence, climate, health, and education.

Prior to the meeting, PM Modi will inaugurate several significant infrastructure projects on Wednesday, including the first phase of the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), built at a cost of around ₹19,650 crores, and the Mumbai Metro Line-3, Phase 2B.

The NMIA, a massive Greenfield airport project spread across 1160 hectares, is designed to handle 90 million passengers and 3.25 million metric tonnes of cargo annually. The Mumbai Metro Line-3, spanning 33.5 km, aims to cater to 13 lakh passengers daily, connecting key cultural and financial hubs in South Mumbai. The total cost of the project is over ₹37,270 crore.

During the visit, both leaders are expected to engage with businesses and industry leaders to explore opportunities within the India-U.K. Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

The Prime Minister will also attend the Global Fintech Fest 2025, a major convention focusing on the convergence of technology and finance, featuring over 7,500 companies, 800 speakers, and 400 exhibitors from around the world.
