**NDA Confirms Nitish Kumar as CM Candidate for Bihar Elections; Dismisses INDIA Bloc’s Unity**

**Patna, October 8, 2025** – Union Minister Giriraj Singh of the BJP has reaffirmed that Nitish Kumar, the current Chief Minister, will be the NDA’s (National Democratic Alliance) face for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking to reporters in Patna on Wednesday, Singh dismissed any speculation of discord within the NDA regarding seat-sharing arrangements.

“Nitish Kumar is NDA’s face for the Chief Ministerial post… Everything is fine within the NDA,” Singh stated. “Seat-sharing arrangements for assembly polls are underway, and the final formula will be finalised soon.”

The announcement provides clarity amidst earlier reports hinting at potential internal disagreements. Singh emphasized the NDA’s preparedness and unified front, in contrast to the opposition INDIA bloc (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance).

He criticized the INDIA bloc, stating it is a “divided house,” referring to apparent disagreements on their Chief Ministerial candidate. “The Congress party has already made it clear that Tejashwi Yadav will be the chief ministerial face of RJD, not of the Mahagathbandhan,” Singh said, suggesting that Lalu Yadav, the RJD supremo, is worried about this statement by the Congress leadership.

The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the counting of votes on November 14. The upcoming polls will be a crucial test for both the NDA and the INDIA bloc.
