**Cullowhee, NC** – Western Carolina University quarterback Taron Dickens etched his name in the NCAA record books on Saturday, October 4, 2025, completing his first 46 passes against Wofford. This incredible feat shattered the previous record for consecutive completions in a single game.
Dickens, who had already completed his final four passes the previous week against Campbell, extended his streak to an astounding 50 consecutive completions across two games. He ended the game 53-56 passing for 378 yards and 3 touchdowns to James Tyre who caught 13 passes for 102 yards and all three touchdowns.
Despite Dickens’ near-perfect performance, Western Carolina found themselves trailing Wofford late in the game. After Dickens’ first incompletion, they missed a field goal.
