**PMK Leader Ramadoss Slams Tamil Nadu CM Stalin Over Caste Census Delay**

**Madurai, India – October 6, 2025** – PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss today sharply criticized Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for his continued refusal to conduct a caste-based socio-economic survey in the state, despite a favorable ruling from the High Court of Karnataka granting state governments the right to do so. Speaking at a public meeting in Madurai, Ramadoss stated that seven other states have already completed similar census exercises.

“Mr. Stalin has denied jobs, education, and self-respect to the people by refusing to take up the caste-based census,” Dr. Anbumani charged, arguing that the survey would reveal which communities are benefiting from the current reservation system and which are being left behind. He estimated the cost of the two-month project at ₹500 crore.

Ramadoss accused the ruling DMK party of being strong on rhetoric regarding social justice but weak on action, calling the delay “the biggest betrayal of the DMK on the people of the State.” He also accused the DMK of engaging in caste politics.

Beyond the census issue, Dr. Anbumani highlighted the plight of farmers in the state, stating that 1,968 farmers had died by suicide in the past three years. He contrasted the lack of media attention on this issue with the extensive coverage of a recent tragedy at a TVK party meeting in Karur where 41 lives were lost. “It is because the DMK is making every political move in the State so that its image is not affected,” he said.

Dr. Anbumani also criticized the DMK’s overall performance, claiming they have only fulfilled 13% of their 505 election promises. He urged the women of Tamil Nadu to prevent the DMK from returning to power to protect future generations from the threat of drug abuse. He also voiced his disappointment over the pollution of the Vaigai river and the stalled Cauvery-Gundar rivers linking project.
