**Cowboys Dominate Jets Despite Offensive Line Woes, Prescott Shines in 37-22 Victory**

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – October 8, 2024 – The Dallas Cowboys (2-2-1) rebounded from last week’s disappointing tie with a resounding 37-22 victory over the New York Jets (0-5) on Sunday, showcasing their offensive firepower even with a severely depleted offensive line. Dak Prescott led the charge, throwing for four touchdowns, two of which went to tight end Jake Ferguson, while Javonte Williams added a rushing and receiving touchdown.

Playing with four backup offensive linemen and missing key receivers CeeDee Lamb and KaVontae Turpin, the Cowboys offense displayed remarkable resilience. Prescott completed 18 of 29 passes for 237 yards, orchestrating two impressive 90+ yard touchdown drives in the second quarter.

“I think we’re spoiled,” said coach Brian Schottenheimer of Prescott. “I think he’s one of the best players in the league. He’s certainly one of the best leaders and teammates I’ve ever been around. Guys believe in him and he’s playing with a ton of confidence right now.”

The Jets, meanwhile, continued their winless streak, marking their fourth 0-5 start in franchise history and the first under head coach Aaron Glenn. Their offensive struggles persisted, though Justin Fields threw for two late touchdowns. The Jets also made an unfortunate NFL record when they did not have any takeaways in their first five games since 1933, when turnovers were first tracked.

Breece Hall provided a bright spot with 113 rushing yards, but a crucial second-quarter fumble proved costly. The Jets’ only lead came early in the first quarter with a field goal.

The Cowboys defense, despite missing Micah Parsons, kept the Jets’ offense largely in check, sacking Fields five times.

Looking ahead, the Cowboys will travel to Carolina to face the Panthers next Sunday, while the Jets will head to London to take on the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
